This wave about to roll-over and crash had at least 4 turtles surfing and swimming in its face. Captured on the south shore of Kauai Island, Hawaii, it was a rare combination of great light, clear water, and many turtles (and fish)!
Alan Hart - Photographer: After many years of film photography with a focus on mountaineering in the western U.S., I moved to digital photography in 2007. My photography has since been focused on landscapes, architecture, wildlife, and flora and is now venturing into the abstract. I enjoy black & white photography just as much as color with each having its own strength.
